hi all,
in like 20+ hours time, 2009 will arrive.
just a flashback of what happened in 2008:

08' was one hell of a year,
A'level - probably the worst academic course that i will ever pursue.
the time spent mugging, will always be remembered.
i just proved to myself that if i want it, i can overcome the obstacles.
but as always, life is never easy,
and i would like to take this opportunity to thank a few ppl that contributed in one way or another.
firstly, my study pals, eric and kahkian.
they are really great ppl, becos i always believe that i am the weakling among them,
but they were always there to help me thru the difficult times.
i could still rmb that there was one evening that kk purposely stayed back,
just to coach me for a kinematics test for physics. THANKS! i really appreciated it.
and eric, who showed me that econs can be easy if u have the right study techniques.
his words of encouragement can really do wonders. haha!

next, i would like to thank my class, 07s22 and teachers.
though i seem to drift further away from class in 08',
but this grp of ppl is really a fun batch to be with.
they spur u on to work and play equally hard.
and celebrate every occasion with great enthusiasium.
the PW group- though everyone dreads PW,
but i really enjoyed working with u all,
no conflicts, no arguements, jus plain fun and enjoyment. haha.
occasional hiccups does affect our morale, but we still managed to pull thru and got our grades.
not forgetting teachers, who stayed back late jus to give additional coaching.
teacher like mr tan, a true great, haha!
even if i don't do well, i will still rmb ur guidance.
haha! *touch wood* "I WILL DO WELL!"
lol.

moving on, i wanna thank my friends,
the usual ones, u know who u are.
especially my secondary school friends.
though we are now in diff. sch, but i really enjoyed every session
where we played soccer, watch movie or just go out for a walk and chat abt stuff.
true friends are hard to find,
so i will really treasure u guys and hope we don't lose contact.
and i am really grateful for all the organisers who made opportunities to meet up easier.
the friendships shall stay strong! haha.

last but certainly not least,
i would also like to thank my falcon squadmates.
we only meet once a year after our course,
but i really enjoyed every occasion where we got together.
its like a bond that was never broken even though it was left untouched for months.
u guys are the best squadmates that i will ever find!
*provided my army squadmates ain't any better* haha!

yup, i guess that's all for the thanks-giving part ba. haha.
though i didn't really mention everyone,
but i sincerely appreciate everyone who played a part in my life,
for better or worse, i really thank you.

yo! i can say i am quite proud of myself today.
haha. because i actually did quite alot of other stuff rather than playing.
firstly, I WENT SWIMMING!
haha. got a sudden urge to swim, so i just went for it.
i swan 50x50=2500m!
that's quite alot! haha.
i guess if i did that on land. i would become chui(soft).
LOL. i actually took only slightly more than an hour to complete.
so it was quite an achievement. haha.

yup, and i also started to find jobs! haha.
not that i didn't find before,
but this time round, i actually seriously considered and sent in resume for those that interest me.
haha. previous times i would just wait and forget.
lol. hope i get a job real soon, cos i am running out of cash.
haha.

next, i actually paid my long delayed bills.
my telephone bills accumulated to close to 100bucks! haha.
and now, i have to pay that amount in one go,
which also accounts for why i have so little cash left.
haha. i always pay my bills once every two months,
but i guess that habit of mine have got to change,
if not i will find myself broke almost every alternate month of the year. haha.

lastly, i successfully inflated my bicycle tyre. HAHA.
yup. i think i got my bike like 1.5 yrs back, and i only tried inflating the tyres on 3 occasions.
on my first attempt, which was at the petrol kiosk,
i tried pumping air in furiously. haha.
and before i knew it, i heard "BOOM".
haha. not as loud as an explosion la, but loud enough for the attendants at the station to hear.
so i was damn pai seh and i have to manually push my blike back home.
haha.
on the second attempt, also at that same particular petrol kiosk,
but this time round, it didn't make a sound.
but i think i am just dumb or what.
instead of inflating, i deflated the tyres.
haha. and i tried very hard to pump more air, but to no avail.
so i actually push my bike from that kiosk to the nearest bike shop at teck whye.
which was damn far, if u all know from bp lrt to that shop.
together with the bike and on a bright sunny day!
i almost died. haha.
finally, today, the last recent attempt, I DID IT!
haha. this time not at the kiosk but at the bike shop instead.
haha. i think its much safer to do it at the shop since the uncle is looking at how i do it.
LOL. yup, and that's the noncensical story of "me and my bike"
haha.

haha. i actually got quite engrossed typing the bike story.
LOL. and speaking of bike,
there was also another embarassing scene.
that was long time ago, but worth mentioning.
i was at my friend's house, and i borrow her bike to go to lot 1.
my and my friends went to a kiosk to pump gas.
so our tyres were damn filled with gas.
we were cycling past the bus stop at the rear end of lot 1,
and suddenly my tyre went "BOOM"
that time it was damn loud, then everyone was staring at me and my friends.
haha. it was damn pai seh, serious.
then i frantically tried to cycle away, with the rim of the tyre grinding the floor.
haha. since the tyre was no longer in effect.
lol. i am really sorry about spoiling my friends bike, but she said it was ok.
so i was lucky. haha.

yup. haha. i actually got quite a lot of funny bike story about myself.
haha. but too tired to type le.

i played soccer today!
first time for a long long time. haha.
though it was raining, we still continued playing.
it was really fun.
can see people sliding around, and making spectacular saves.
haha. and i think this is the most recent time that we have quite high attendance.
yeah, and i am really tired now.
haha.

anyways, want to congratulate Nick and Starr on winning the Amazing Race.
haha. i know its kind of random but i am really happy.
because it has been a long time since i supported a team from the first leg,
and the team went on to finish first.
haha. they are a really good team.
look more like a couple than siblings.
haha. and now i wonder what will they do with the money.

finally, ending off by saying:

wedding

yesterday,
i went for my cousin's wedding.
surprisingly, it actually took up my entire day.
this was how it happened.
in the morning, as early as 9, i was at my cousin's house:
it was the tea ceremony, which i didn't know my purpose of being there.

perhaps for the food! haha.

after the ceremony, it was already past noon.
and there is still the wedding dinner at night.
so i have got little time to rest. just pack up and GO!

reached the hotel, there was the swearing ceremony,
where couple say "I DO" to each other.
sweet, but every couple will do the same thing. haha.

after that, i was dinner time, YEAH! LOL!
we waited about 1.5 hour for the real stuff to start.
EAT! my fav. part of the show. haha.
yup, anyway, i scaled the photos down so that they upload faster

cutting the cake, i didn't know that such wedding cakes are fake,
until my sis actually told me they were.
she said it will take hundreds to make a real one.

more food. haha. some of my relative actually don't take shark's fins.
because they proclaim they want their grandsons to see sharks when they grow up.
which was quite true, but for me, since they were already dead.
so lets not make them a sacrifice. LOL.
just kidding, i actually do care for animals. haha

pouring of the champagne, and serving a toast to everyone.
one funny thing my sis told me was that every couple tried to make their wedding different,
but it end up that every wedding is similar.

actually there was more food, just lazy to take photos of it. haha.
yup, and when all is said and done, its home sweet home.
it was already 11pm then.
so i spent an entire day on a wedding.
and i am only a relative!
*imagine when i get married*
how shag would that be?
haha. but i think i would probably be sunk in happiness and wouldn't even think of fatigue.
LOL.
and finally the wish them "EVERLASTING ETERNAL BLISS"!

chalet

hey.
actually i wanted to post about prom.
but i was away at chalet the past couple of days.
so i didn't.
now that i am free, i found that my camera was with my sis.
she is in hong kong and will only be back in tuesday.
haha. so the early time i can post the phots with be weds ba.
so guys, especially for those waiting for me to send u the photos.

anyways, just some feedback on the chalet.
it was actually quite boring.
haha. probably because its something like senior-junior thing.
and we have like a gap between just.
and most of the time, i was stoning.
haha. and they were either playing with cards, x-box or psp.
luckily on the 2nd day,
some more senior ppl came.
haha. and also people with similar character came.
so we finally got to get out of chalet and into "escape".
haha. it seems to have a connotation that we are finally free from the chalet.
lol. although i rained after a while but it was still better that stoning in the chalet.
ya. and i went home that particular night.
wondering what i have really enjoyed.
actually not a lot. maybe just some catching up times with friends ba.
haha. yup. so i gtg already.

my room

yo, i forgot to mention something that i felt really proud after doing it.
I CLEANED UP MY ROOM. haha!
yeah. and for the first time in my life in the room,
i can feel light rays shining in in the morning.
its a little irritating but a good sight.
LOL.
previously, the biggest window in my room was blocked by the cupboard.
and now its free! haha.
it is really glaring and i can think of suntanning in my bed in the morning already.
haha. not myself, but my bolsters and pillow.

next i got to pack my wardrobe.
and hopefully, the ultimate goal is to clean up the house!
haha. *should be quite impossible*

have u ever thought of what to do when u are cooking and u accidentally cut off your finger?

lost GC

for those who don't know, GC is aka graphics calculator.
a bulky, big and ugly calculator that cost 200 bucks!
damn bloody shit, lost it when i needed it most.
the worst thing is,
i found out that it was missing weeks after it was actually lost.
argh....
so i appeal to everyone,
if u do see a GC with an orange cover,
pls be a kind soul and give it back to me please.

haha, i know i wouldn't have much hope,
because i always can't find the things i lost.

but luckily this time, junyi lent me his GC.
so i still have one to work with.

chem paper 3

i am back from chemistry paper 3 just now.
haha. good game.
3 questions in 1 and a half hours seem quite easy right?
then try doing the paper i did.
yes, it was 3 questions.
but there are damn many sub parts.
haha. take question 1 for example,
split into (a), (b), (c), (d).
then each alphabet can split into (i), (ii) ...
all 3 question are like that.
i ended up leaving 13 marks totally undone,
and dozens more done but don't know if they were correct.
actually it was not difficult,
i think i just need to do more time management.
got to start practicing :)

and tml is maths,
really hope i can do well this time.
maths was my worst subject in secondary school.
but coming to JC, i think it became my strongest one.
haha. simply because all my other subjects have deteriorated
and maths still seem to be on the same level.
haha.

because many didn't even know that they really lousy at something.

school reopen

have been blog hopping just now.
not surprisingly, many people enjoyed their school reopening.
as in they get to slack, know the new timetable, etc.
for me, sad case, first day of school, physics mid year paper3.
3 hours of mind bobbling questions.
especially tough for someone like me, who is pretty hopeless in physics.
haha.
i remembered i was doing the physics part in my NS checkup
and i really didn't know the answers to some very simple questions
like the gears - which direction it rotates,
which cylinder exerts more pressure etc.
so, in conclusion, i really hope i can get out of the physics world soon.
as soon as possible. haha:)

perhaps one thing that i can rejoice about is that i am free now.
as in, i am at home
unlike other people who are schooling who will be in school at this current moment.
i am at home
but sadly, i have to do revision.
tomorrow is chemistry paper 3
then the following day is maths.
more confident about this two subjects,
but being an always last minute student,
a few days of revision is of course not enough la.
haha..

actually i don't know why i am blogging right now.
i should be studying.

start of holidays

the past 2 days had probably been the better days in my whole JC life.
haha. on saturday.
me, eric, kk and lx went to sing K at partyworld.
although there are no girls but we have a fun time singing tgt.
also at the same time do some catching up with one another
and discussing about certain issues.
haha. and its nice to listen to other people's stories.
haha...

then today,
i went out with my sisters.
we caught the movie "Made of Honor"
it is a girlish show, about romance and love.
though it is not the kind of genre that i would prefer,
but i must say it was quite nice.
a cliche love story which is worth watching.
haha. then we went to eat.
i find it nice to go out with my sisters because of several reasons:
1) i don't have to pay. (that's a small reason haha:D)
2) they always do the things i like. (eat, movies, sing etc. haha)
3) they bring me to places that i have never been to. (for example, we went to "New York New York" to eat today.)
4) we always try not to take public transport (hahah:D)
perhaps a few more reasons but i can't think of it right now.
haha. yup. so its cool.
and because i went to hang out today.
i didn't do any work again.
haha.. boo-boo to me.
i better start doing some.
else doomsday will be impending.

actually there are a lot more thing i want to do at holidays.
but there no time to do them.
just to list some,
-pack my clothes
-tidy up my files (my ws are all flying around)
-catch up with secondary school friends
-watch Euro 08 (starting soon, and i don't think i have time to watch)
-play Wii (my sis just brought a new game, and i played but sucked at it, want to train but not time)
-spend more time outdoors (soccer, bball, swim etc)
-shop (maybe? it's the great singapore sale anyway)
and the list goes on and on.
will try to do some.
but of course, main priority goes to studies.
i want that scholarship
that singhealth scholarship.
so that i can go overseas for my studies for the last year.
haha. i know its difficult but i will try.
u have got to try to know.

holidays arriving

HOLIDAYS are here.
how great is it?
notice my lack of exclaimation marks for holidays.
simply because when holidays starts,
it is going to be another round of intense mugging and hardcore revsion.
again. and again. and again.
it seems so much like a vicious cyle,
where you study, forget, and study again.
how i wish i have a Einstein brain,
which can not only remembers, but also innovates.
lack of creativity has be a concern for me nowadays,
it is evident in today's GP exams,
which i struggled to dig out insightful ideas,
and failed to come up with substitute words for various phrases.
my GP have reached a level of stagnation.
i haven't improved much.
if you want to plot a progrees against time graph,
i would probably have a gradient of 0.000001%
haha. that's how bad it is.
this time round, i really hope i get something better.
B maybe?

anyway, i am so not looking forward to holidays,
because i haven't came up with a study plan yet.
no plan equals no progress.
i better start soon, but easier said than done.
haha.
worse stilll, i have so little time left.
minus the camps and everthing, i have about 20 days for 3 subjects,
plus H1 which i excluded.
the 3 subjects i have are at least 15 chapters long.
and everything is tested.
so haha... good game.
somemore there is banding for subjects,
which makes it more competitive,
and i want to be in the best band! !
haha. (just a remark, i dont think i will be in the best band for most subjects.)

yup, so i have got to work really hard this holidays.
no slacking, only mugging.

atc

sorry guys for not bloggin for so long.
seriously i have nothing much to blog about nowadays.
school was fine.. life is normal..
nothing high, nothing exceptional.
just very routine.
haha.

today. i went to west spring sec again for atc meeting.
supposingly it is one of the final meetings
but the number seems to be getting smaller all the time.
and suddenly i got alot of things to worry about...
first meeting, i was just a member, helping out julitta in logistics
i thought i was a bit lazy, so i took up lodging.
which was fine since there isn't much to do really.
second meeting, i became food ic.
i don't know who appointed me,
but it was still ok since i did it before, don't mind doing it again.
but now, third meeting, i suddenly became the welfare rep and treasurer.
WTH! so now, i am logistics+lodging+food+welfare+treasurer
add that on to my position as a group i.c
so in total i have 6 appointments.
good luck to me.
i think i will die :)

i was reading julitta's blog jus now,
and i totally agreed with what she said about this guy.
he is experienced - yes!
he is knowlegable about np stuff - yes!
but i think somtimes he really talk too much.
camp should be about resilience,
not much of "supreme welfare" like what he mentioned.
"6-course meal, cooking spagetti" i find them really funny.
who is going to cook them?
i don't know. haha.

but i respect him for his experience.
so i just listen, and omit whatever i think is not right.
haha. hope all will turn out fine man.
AC is coming, so cannot screw up.
but i have a feeling that something will go wrong.
see how ba. haha:)

results reflection

today,
i am going to talk about results.
haha.. firstly is my chemistry paper.
i was quite disappointed because i got 49%
which is a pass, E grade.
i was expecting it to be better.
and don't know if i can tyco or what.
the topic which i studies very little, like inorganic chem
i got pretty good marks.
but those i really studies, like organic chem,
i flunked.
weird weird. haha.
i really hope to do better.
so... i really got to work harder.
like what mr tan said,
"you cannot say you have prepared for a test without even touching your TYS"
i find it true.
and another thing he said which was quite amusing,
"other's TYS are all torn and tattered, yours are still so clean and new that you can even sell it to them year 1s"
haha. of course he mentioned to the whole calss and not me only.
something when mr tan scolds us, it is quite enlightening,
but i dont know why it, it isnt motivating.
because i got more demoralised after hearing what he said.
haha.
he even discribled some of us as "NATO"- no action, all talk.
luckily he didnt "shoot" me directly.
if not, i would have lost passion in chem.
haha. currently, i still think chem is better than physics.
but i am not sure if this perspective can substain.
haha.

ok, next, i am going to talk about campcraft team.
the boys and girls all got 40+ position.
it was a commendable results
but it was also quite disappointing.
because the boy's postion took a plunge,
while the girl's position only improve slightly.
i was particularly upset because i know the team put in alot of effort.
but the results does not signify the effort.
but i would still be around to train another team,
provided i still want to.
i think that the next team should be the last team that should be challenging for top 10.
because we have been puttin in a lot of time for campcraft.
yet, we couldnt seem to breakthrough.
so, if the next team we trained also cannot improve,
then there is no point puttin in so much effort for campcraft.
because if we get 40th compared to 100+,
we still get the same amount of UOPA points.
so what's the point?

haha, ok, i have done the analysis.
the main point will be :
"I have to put in more effort in whatever i do"

got back CT papers and reflections

hello!
back to blog.
got back some of my papers today.
satisfactory is the word.
haha. i got back maths. and it was 64/100.
B grade. kind of expected but i feel it can be better.
i was gald because i was talking to my friend,
we were saying "hey, we both have the lowest grade at O'levels,
u got 5 and i got 4 for A.Maths,
yet we PASSED" we laughed.
indeed we were grateful that we got lots of value-addedness.
but deep down we really believe we could have done better.

also got back GP.
i got 26/50.
i PASSED again.
haha. i must admit that i was lucky to pass.
because i did not put in much effort.
but i am glad cause upon passing. i am the top 30% in my class already.
not being sarcastic but i am just pleased about my achievement.
all the speech and drama lessons in primary school does have an impact on my grades.

got back physics and chem mcq too.
i get 12/20 for physics.
for chem, i couldn't catch my grade because the teacher flashed the grade too fast to be noticed.
before i realised it, it was gone.
so just gonna wait until he announced the grades to us.

yup, so i am still waiting for the other papers to be released.
hope i can pass everything.

it might hurt you, YES,
but just get over it and move on with life.
dont be burdened by these thoughts that does nothing but haunts you.
so ya, just live everyday like it's a brand new day.
dont always look on the past.
perhaps try looking on the bright side of life.
there is always more than one way to solve a problem.
so dont take everytrhing so seriously,
because not everything is worth being taken seriously.
just carry on with life! :D

and i pray.
haha... cos i wanna pass with some colours.
dont expect flying colours.

then campcraft comp was over last sat.
i pray too.
cos the results is coming out next week.
but only boys team. cos girls competition is postponed - AGAIN
how long they want it to drag?

yup.. i hope for all the best in both my studies and for the campcraft team.
cos i have put in effort for both of them.
notice i didnt say "my best effort"
cos i seriously didnt put in my fullest effort.

hey,
i am back again.
today was maths paper.
i think i fared pretty ok.
initially hoping that i can get A
but after thinking it through, i think can get B shld be quite happy already.
because i did from the back first.
so i wasted alot of time thinking.
i spent 50 mins doing 2 questions!
wah.. then because of my slowness
i got to finish the first 3 questions in 15 mins.
stressed leh. haha. then i counted already,
should be minus abt 20 marks, including those i dont know and those i think i did wrongly.
haha. then must add careless leh.
then dont know will get how much already.
but nvm, because since i did my best.
i have little regrets.

just now, i was watching this show, "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"
it is something like "Who wants to be a Millionaire"
but this time round, your are answering questions from 1st to 5th grade.
and you get to choose the subject you want to answer.
and your life lines are actually students who are in 5th grade.
i was quite astounded by the subjects that kids in America study.
they have subjects like Earth Science, Health, Astronomy and even Measurement.
and the questions are difficult.
for example,
like grade 3 astronomy "Which star is typically the brightest in the night?"
and grade 4 measurement "How many cups are there in 5.5 gallons?"
difficult right?
and somemore grade 3 & 4 is like our primary school.
and it is so difficult already!
i think i will die studying in America.
haha :D
and the kids on the show are damn smart,
got almost every question correct.
even the contestant, who is abt 20+, need them to help him answer some of the questions.
haha.
and the guy won $175, 000,
he could have gotten $300, 000, but he didnt trust the boy
who answered the qns correctly.
instead he chose to walk.
so ya, if it was me i would have chose to walk too.
cause that's too much money to lose.
haha.

eh, so i got to go back to studying already.

today is the first day of common test.
and i am already hoping that it will end sooner rather than later.
it was econs today, which i started revising 10pm ytd.
haha. i felt that it was quite ok.
i was quite confident that i will PASS.
haha. not hoping for anything better cause i will just end up more disappointed.
and by the way, i didnt complete.
left a conclusion undone.
so a PASS is respectable. :D

tommorow is maths.
hope it will be pretty ok.
as you guys know, my maths = crap.
haha. but now its not that bad already,
hope i can at least get B or better.

HEY HEY!
it has been a long time since i blog.
and perhaps this time is the most inappropriate time to blog.
cos common test is like only 2 days away and i am still slacking.
haha..
but heck la, since it's only a common test. haha..
no need to be so stress.
like i always say, don't peak so early.
peak so early, you will lose steam towards A'levels.
i know it might seem like excuses but think carefully,
it does have so sense isn't it?
haha..
u see.. u study, memorise just for the sake of this test.
then after that you play and forgot about everything you studied.
next exam come, you got to re-study again.
see! y not take things slowly and prepare not just for THIS test,
but for the final hurdle-A's.

with that said though,
of course i will not just rot all this time,
i will prepare, but not as hardcore as some other people that i have seen.
yeah. so when the results come, lets see if mugger win or smarties win.
haha.. *i have a dreadful feeling that muggers will though* LOL :D

recently, quite alot of things apart from studies happened,
but it didnt seem to concern me alot.
so i have nothing much to comment about those things.
just want to say that if you dont want people to treat u the way they treat u, then dont treat them the way u treat them. AND always
seek to understand then to be understood.

today is the npcc campcraft comp.
i went to take a look and i tink our team did well
just hope and pray that we can get into top 10!

yup then for the past few weeks
not many thing happened.
it was CNY first, i got lots of hongbao, but no alot of money.
haha.. u get wat i mean.
then it was my bday,
celebrated with sec sch friends and also my current classmates.
thanks everyone for having a part to play in my bday.
no matter big or small.
yup. then new year i also gambled quite alot.
actually not alot la. just played with friends.
it was quite enjoyable this few weeks :)

but, i think things are going to get worse,
cos we have A's impending.
life is like usual in school.
boring and monotonous.
hope this kind of life can end quickly.
really hate going to school everyday and see people busy mugging.
do they even know what's the meaning of life?
haha. should not elaborate more.
but of course there are people in school whoare not a fulltime mugger.
that i can talk to abt other stuff apart from studies.

accident

ytd. i went to catch a movie with my secondary school friends.
we watched "The House", and it was not very nice.
haha.. after that we went to play pool, it was already midnight.
when we finished play, we knew that there will not be buses or MRT,
so we thought of how we are going to get home.
we decided not to cab but instead choose to walk home.
we walked from bukit batok to bukit panjang.
it was about a 2 hours walk considering how tired we already were.
so we were walked half-dazed half-awake

then suddenly we all saw something.
a car accident.
a car bumped off the side of the road and crashed into the tree.
for a moment, i was thinking whether my first-aid skill is going to come in use.
whether i am going to do CPR for the first time in my life.haha
but just as i was about to approach the person. he came out of his car.
safe and sound, still able to make a call for the ambulance himself.
i was relieved, both for him and also myself. haha
cos i didn't have to use my CPR skills.
so we were lingering at the same spot.
watching the ambulance come and go.
just as the medics were talking to the guy,
another accident almost happened.
saved by come heavy braking by one of the drivers.

this illustrates how dangerous it is to drive on the road.
and how vulnerable is life.
even when i cycle, i am afraid that someone will just crash into me.
and there goes your life.
so, it is important that we treasure every moment we have.
not just with friends, but also family and everyone around you.
live your life to the fullest
and have no regrets after that.
i know these sounds cliche, but they are very true indeed.

OG outing and studying the next day

ytd was a super fun day spent with my OG..
though we spent a lot of time discussing where to go..
walking aimlessly at times,
but we all knew that we enjoyed ourselves.
first of all, we watched the movie - One Missed Call.
the plot is very much like the japanese one.
it was not very scary instead it was quite funny..
because we kept hearing sarah's screams! haha..
then after the screams you will hear laughters..

when i movie ended, we didnt know where to go.
so we walked around and finally ended up sitting somewhere outside takashimaya tower B
we sat in a circle and paid games like "guess the number" and "7-UP"
then the forfeit is to do a dare..
first forfeit is for huihan, denise and randy.
they have to take a photo with a stranger of the opposite sex..
haha.. so pai seh la.. then huihan was saying must look for "chio" ones..
but in the end still took with a group of malay girls(who were lingering outside the building).. haha..
then we have forfeits like danceing the fun dance, shouting pioneer cheers etc.
basically its all stupid things which u wouldnt dare to do elsewhere..
haha...ya.. i think we had the most fun there..

cos its my sister's birthday..
so i had to celebrate with her.. but i went home too late and they cut the cake already..

haha..then supposingly i have to wake up at 8 to go studying..
but in the end i woke up at 9 which is the meeting time...
haha.. so i said i was late then i took my time to eat my breakfast..

then i reached and studied the whole day..
talked alot with my study mates..
haha... but i did get some work done like maths and chem..
but still... alot are still undone..
haha... so that's my day today..
studying, talk, eat..
i ate 3 meals today (considered quite alot)

class exco

today is an ordinary day,

it is weds and we have CT period.

the new class exco was announced.

and i didnt retain the class manager post,

instead i got the post as a maths rep.

it will be false to say that i am not disappointed,

but having a new post is a not a bad thing afterall.

new duties, new beginning.

i have to be optimistic. haha:)

but why must it be maths? my worse subject.

haha.. maybe teacher wants me to work harder in the subject.

haha.. anyway, the new class manager is shuwei

and a.c.m is daryl. congrats to them!

and there are many other posts in the class

around 20 in total, haha.. so it is like only 6 who are not in class committee.

i am lazy to list out who is who. haha..

but i just hope that it will be a great year for the class.

no more cliques but more bonding :)

anyway, i went back to my seconday school for training today.

i reach quite early, so i had lunch then slack in the NP room.

i realised that the cadets are having studying session first.

so i just went to sleep first.

but you know what?

i woke up after the whole training ended la.

haha.. the other people never call me up.

then i woke up i was like shocked!

haha.. what an unproductive day man!

but it's ok since i still have a lot of time to look at them train next time.

haha.

i am here to blog again.
haha.. strangely to say, i am beginning to like school.
as in i liked my teachers, i pay more attention and became more enthu about homeworks.
it is really cool to have the mugging spirit man!
haha.. but just to clarify, i am not a prime time mugger
like the imba ones in my class.
i just suddenly felt like studying.
haha.. enlightenment maybe?

anyway, after this year,
i will finally get a life back.
haha.. so i might as well have no life this year and enjoy the next in a better manner.
much better than moaning and groaning about your A'level results after that.

orientation

i am here to blog about orientation.
its great man! we have six clan : alpha, beta, delta, gamma, sigma and theta.
i am theta, and there are 30 OGs
and i am OG30.
there are a total of 19 members in my group,
everyone of them is special in their own ways.
also i must mention my OGL mate, yanting
who was very supportive of me :)
at the start, day 1 : everyone were strangers sitting together.
they dont talk and interact,
maybe because it is after the boring subject talks and all.
but towards the end of the day, they started talking to one another.
this show signs that they will bond. (which i believe so)

on day 2: in the morning, they came back juz like the previous day
very quiet and sticking to their own comfort zones.
i almost wanted to give up on them.
but when station games starts, they starting working together and signs of teamwork begin to show.
i think they enjoyed the mass dance even though they were not very sure of the steps.
after distribution of O'pack, they went home.

day 3: this is the best day for the whole of theta clan because they are the most enthu.
they are enthu with the fun dance
they tried their best cheering
and i think they did a great job with the para para.
we rocked the school during dinner n dance with our para para moves, and we got the best dance group!
even after that, the finale dances, everyone was super high! haha..
i am sure everyone left with great memories in their minds.

to OG30: i dont know if you will see my blog,
but i really hope to see you guys stay in PJC,
you guys rox!
and rmb to read the card and use the eraser we gave u all.. haha!
and eat the tibits too. hahaha..
i hope this orientation leaves you with a great memory which you can rekindle even long after orientation. also, i hope the friendship made and bonds forged will not only be there for orientation, but it should be there ever after.
so next time, do say hi to each other(including me! haha)

disappointment

i realised something today.
whenever i am sad or down,
i will want to sleep.
haha. and i am sleepy now.

today was a rather disappointing day.
it was the first aid course day2
i was...
disappointed with the instructor for his time management
disappointed with the pretty bad weather
disappointed with the sec3 squad for their behaviour and attitude
lastly, i am disappointed with MYSELF.

yes. myself.
i could have control the situation better
could have ensure more discipline
could have paid more attention to both the cadets and instrutor
could have been firmer
so many "could have"... yet i seem incapable to accomplish any of them.

i was soft.
cause i thought you guys had learnt
you guys are my most senior in the unit
you should know how to behave yourself.

i was wrong. very wrong indeed.
i didnt want to scold you all
didnt want to embarrass you all in public
but can't you guys just be a bit more mature
be more discipline
be more attentive?

i must say.
even the thickest of wires will snap under strain one day.
and i am one thick layer of wire
one that is easily bent and altered
you can turn me and change my rules, i am fine with it
but if one day, when it really snaps, i wouldnt know what would happen.
but i just wonder when this day will come.

patience is a virtue
but am i having too much of it?
self-check time......

first aid course day1

hey.. back..
yesterday was a "free" day.
because i got most of my things free.

firstly, i went to the japan trip briefing with my sisters
initially we were about to take cab but later on
my sis boyfriend said we can take his car
so its a free ride.

secondly, after the briefing
we had dinner
at a bbq resturant at cineleisure.
my sis paid for that,
so it a free meal. haha...

thirdly, we went for movie
my sis used her master card to book the tickets.
so free movie tickets!
after that i wanted to eat nacho chips
my sis "volunteered" to pay for me,
so free snacks too. hahaha...

lastly, a free trip home.

haha. i didn't spent a single cent!
except that along the way, i was too hungry and went to buy some bread which i paid myself.

haha. i watched the movie - "The Kingdom"
it is about some terrorism thing.
alot of talking, but what i liked most is the fighting.
haha.. there was one scene which the girl used the knife to stab the guy's "there".
the whole crowd went "AWW...."
haha.. then i realised that most of the people in the cinema are males.
boys are more sensitive. hahah...
for the fighting and violence, i give it:

ok... for today,
its the first aid course.
i learnt quite a lot- the CPR, bandages etc.
its only the first day,
alot more to be covered.
got test somemore. scared sia.

haha..generally it was quite fun la.
although quite alot of hiccups today.
i will try my best to prevent any hiccups tomorrow. :)
and i hope the cadets (no.. is NCO!!) can behave themselves. :(
they almost fight today (wth!!!)
haha..
nvm la. don't blame them.
people who are not mature needs more time to learn.

NP n the year ahead

yeah.. back...
haha.. i like being busy.. if not i will start thinking about studies again..
haha... today i went to Ubin to have a recee...
meaning to check out the campsite and the areas to conduct the activities la...
ya so early morning 8am have to reach bp bus stop..
almost cannot wake up...
then i walk 90% liao then wingkiong ask me go back help him get crest tee..
cos we need it to enter campsite..
so i go back lo but i never blame him la...
since my house was quite near...
so we spend quite some time traveling and finally arrived at campsite...
walk here walk there.. then go back liao..
haha... actually oso did nth much but reach Changi already 2pm liao..
A20 ATC is next next week...
sometimes i hope it can faster end man..
then i can finally have a break from the planning and stuff...
haha.. kind of bored of having to meet up regularly to discuss..
especially when u have other things to do on that day but u know that this is more impt...
but i must say it's a learning experience...
hope the camp will run smoothly.. if not we will die........
haha..

talking about next week..
its NPCC week..haha...
cos i have NP stuff almost everday..
mon-weds: first aid course with cadets
thurs-fri: work plan discussion with TOs
sat: campcraft com briefing at HQ
only left sunday sia.. haha..
then the week after that is ATC liao..
wah... can say i am chionging NP liao..
haha... anyway i will not be very free next year le..
so better do what i wan this year...
then next year i will just be a supervisor in NP.. haha..

although i might not be very active in NP..
but can say that i have put in my best already...
i did what i can do..
haha.. so no regrets...
after my service next year then i will reconsider if i wan to continue my service or not...
haha...

oh ya.. n the first week of Dec, i am going to Japan..
hooray.. haha... can go widen my horizan... haha...
but hope i comes slowly cos after the trip will have to get back to studies le..
next year J2 liao.. must work hard..
i want scholarship! hahaha..
then can go overseas to study... haha...

long long long time never blog..
kind of tired of blogging already since you can't really speak out your mind here..
but i will just continue to blog when i have the time...

and today is promotion day...
and many were promoted because of some moderation..
my class only 2 had to reconsider their choices..
i am quite happy about it becos we will all be tgt again next year..
no disband, no new friends...
not that i dun wan new friends but i would rather have the current ones that new ones..
haha... and an amazing thing is i never fail a single subject...
all pass.. yeah... haha...
but i think i can improve...
oh no.. is i must improve...
haha.. next year A'levels lo..
it will be much tougher than this year...
i have already struggled so much this year...
hai.. don't know how i will handle next year..
jus hope that some idea will stuck me to work harder..
if i continue at this rate.. i might just forgo A'levels...
haha..

sad thing is some of my friends are leaving PJC..
hai.. they go then i will have less friends around..
less friends means less interaction, and i will be more anti-social..
haha.. because ever since i brought the bike..
i cycle home everyday so already not much interaction with friends...
then now.. even worse...

sometimes.. i jus hope to go to NS soon..
cos i can just chuck studies aside and try something new..
but that is jus a thought.. i know studying days are the most memorable..
i gonna start treasuring these days..
soon i will miss them.. haha...

the holiday so far is quite boring..
i have been playing stupid games all along...
on one side of my mind still thinking abt school work..
hope these boring days will be over soon..

they help me pass my time more fruitfully instead of jus sitting in front of the com...
another are i might want to devote more time in might be NPCC...
i will be passing out next year.. don't know if i will be back..
but i wanna give my best for the unit.. i wan gold for UOPA..
recently, i heard quite alot abt the unit stuff...
the cadets, the development, attitudes and such..
kind of dissapointed.. why do ppl choose NP as a CCA and give a couln't care less attitude??
don't like this kind of ppl..
rmb during my time.. the 7 of us were enthu towards NP...
not all of us i know.. but we motivated each other to come for training,.
we wanna do everything...
now... nobody wants to do anything...
no initiative n teamwork... wonder what they will learn from their 4-5 years in NP...
if u wanna come for training then show that u wanna lear..
if not.. get lost... i don't mind having one pest less..
sometimes.. i am just sick of being a CI...
cos there is nothing much i can do to some situations...
i would rather be a cadet n follow instructions..
nowadays, some ppl are jus unmotivated, unambitious..
have no motive in their life.. and i am sick of seeing these ppl...

this whole week of exams is going to be over soon.
and my fate lies with the paper on friday.
PHYSICS. a subject that i damn hope to pass but forever will not.
but i have to rely on it now.
fail and i will most probably retain.
because my chem was screwed up ytd.
wth...
sometimes, i really thought if i am suited for JC.
i am not a person who can mug for 5 hours non-stop.
in retrospect, i have not really studied a subject seriously in my life.
as in you prepared for it a month or months before the exam.
i have not done so, but i survived.
but now, i have this sinking feeling in JC.
it's such the big step that i feel like i almost can't reach it.

my friend was discussing about something which i feel realistic.
he said "in sec 1 you take abt 10 subjects with home ed and d&t, it was rather easy
sec 3 abt 7 without the 2 above, and it more difficult.
JC u take 4 main subject, but it's way harder.
in Uni you take one subject, and you can die on it."
haha..

i really have to consider my future.
JC or not. i just want to be happy.
haha. just wait and see.
after my last paper and when i get back my results.
i will then decide the road to take.

anyway, pretty much wasted today because of NPCC.

i find that i have dedicated alot of time into it.

actually, i am not very sure if it is all worth it.

i might just end up regretting spending so much time onto NPCC.

but.... everything you go through is an experience.

at least when people ask you about your life,

it's not just a piece of plain white paper where you just pass time by mugging.

it should contain patches of fond memories here and there.

sometimes, people call me to put less emphasise on this CCA.

but i just feel like it's a responsibility for me.

i chose to be a CI and i have to fulfil my duties- willingly or unwillingly.

most of the time, i find joy in doing my job.

training the cadets and making them learn something makes myself happy too.

it's great to see everyone happy,

and i hope i have done my role of making people happy.

alot of things, its about trying.

in NPCC, you try to do your best in all the duties you have.

even in studies too, you try your best to do well.

outshine others, and be the best that you can be.

most of the time, you find out that there is always a person better than you are.

but everyone is good at something, so be patient,

you will find that you have somtime that he or she does not have.

people might tower over you in your studies.

but you might be better than them in sports.

if they are better than you in both. then too bad. haha.. just kidding...

if they really win you in both then you will need to find somthing else to win him..

personalities maybe? or strength of character?

don't be pessimistic, you are great if you think you are!

anyway, this is quite random.

haha..hope people reading this will try to find their strengths in themselves.

do not believe that you cannot do something without even trying.

even if you try and failed, it's an experience.

i know it's cliche but it's true.

trust yourself, trust the people around you.

hihi. 4 more days to PROMOS !!!

no matter what, i have to clear it.
haha.
one sad thing i experienced in JC.
i find that the people here are kind of selfish.
why so? it's because it's so unlike in secondary school.
in the past, when you have a problem, friends are more than willing to help you out.
now, perhaps because of competition, people tend to steer away from helping one another.
it has not happened to me once but several times.
i had a question and i need to check someone's script,
so i asked around for it, some said they didn't bring and some said they didn't finished.
it's just one question. come on.
and i just saw them did it the other day.
so why can't they just help me out?
i don't blame them but just felt dissappointed.
ain't friends supposed to help you through your tough times?
hai.

but fortunately, there are always exceptions.
kind people are still present.
so the world is not becoming a bad place to live in afterall.
let's hope everyone do well for promos and other exams.

even if you do very well, it's not good to laugh at people.
remember that.
think about other's feelings.

but really don't know what to blog about...
currently studying.. but find out that i have alot of things that i am not sure about...
sometimes, i thought about "what if i fail? what if i retain?"
these thoughts had come so frequently nowadays..

perhaps another year for me to buck up?
haha.. i know is shouldn't be so pessimistic..

a LLLOOONNNGGG time since i last blog...

anyway, i have been slacking all my life in JC...
haha... haven't really have the mentality to mug for exams...
perhaps what junyi say is true..
those who never go for PAE are prone to the relaxing days...
indeed i am... haha...
sometimes, i really wan to spend more time with my friends...
i have... but in the expense of my studies...
more often than not, i sacrifice studies for friends...
is it worth it? actually i am not very sure...
but what i know is that i would not want to be left alone in the future...
that's why i treasure friends alot...

coming to Pioneer, i feel that i have drifted further away from my sec sch friends...
i missed the times in NPCC, my sec 2 n 4 class...even my pri sch playmates..
they have all been great people who walked into my life...
and they either stayed in my life or moved on..
whichever the choice..be sure that everyone that i know has a part in my heart...
i know i am being emo..
but i really like the fun in secondary school..
playing bball after classes... doing drills in the sun... even goin to school tgt...
it's not that my friends in JC are no good..
but i think it is the feeling that is different...
after i read my friend's blog..
i recall just last year where my grp of friends were singing happily in full np u during the national day celebration...
it is so unlike in JC.. even though the grp of friends now do sing hapily too...
the atmosphere is alot different..
in sec sch, people get influenced and sang along..
now, people will think that you have a screw loose in your head...
everything is so different in JC...
it a huge step from the enjoyable secondary school days...
imagine studying 1 week before exams in sec sch..
what will you get? CCC? BBC?
it just so diffcult to fail in sec sch..
in JC? under the same circumstances...
you shld be beaming if u can get a EEE or DDD...
haha.. it just so different..

but nevertheless.. this is not the time to look back..
it's time to look forward..
no point moaning about the past...
start cheering about the future..
no point thinking abt what u have achieved..
think abt what you CAN achieve..
everyone is a talent in one way or another..

it has been a week since school started...
all is fine.. except that there is more studying to do...
study, study, study...
it should become a routine in my life...
but in actual fact, i haven't really been studying a lot...
during the holidays, i was pretty much slacking..
studies was just a minor part of the holidays..
i went out quite a lot.. spent a lot of time with friends...
although i must say i neglect studies... but i believe it was all worthwhile..
i believe that when you are 50 years old..
you might not remember even the simplest of formulaes..
but i am sure you will definitely rmb your friends..
the times we spent together... the memories shared...
that's why we have to balance between friendship and studies..
never neglect one of them as both are equally impt...
haha..
ok.. enough of philsophic stuff...

back to my life...
haha.. i watch harry potter ytd...
and i must say it was kind of dissappointing...
perhaps i have to read the book before i could understand....
it was quite a chimology show..
not much action and a few comedic scenes...
for me.. it is not worth the ticket price...
still prefer transformers though..
maybe i am too childish.. can only understand children shows...
haha.. and one funny thing...
weiwen told us not to blog abt this.. but all the more we shld..
he "donated" $2 to the kfc dustbin!
how generous.. haha...
actually what happened was that he placed his $2 on the tray..
then the uncle cleared the tray WITH the $2 on it...
and weiwen only realised it when we were walking halfway to the mrt...

long weekend

this is a recollection of the weekends...

on FRIDAY... it was the unofficial end to exams..
although we have chinese on monday...
everyone treat it as though it doesnt exist.. haha...
yup.. so after exams.. went back to kranji to play bball...
initially was scared that the security guard wun let us in..
but we managed to sneak in when the security guard is not watching...haha
so we played a few rounds of games...
then the security guard chased us out...
we went for dinner...
very long never eat the western food stall in limbang...
so we all ate chicken chop rice...
after dinner.. we all didnt wan to go home..
so we played LAN.. counter strike...
chenghan bluff ppl.. say dunno to play then can snipe ppl..
SIR somemore... haha..
after LAN.. weiwen, chenghan and kahkian went home..
so left with me eric and lixian..
we loitered around cck..
saw a group of sepak takraw guy, or whatever you spell it..
they are damn pro..
they can overhead kick a few feet above the net
then land like breakdancers like that..
pro sia.. haha... so we stared for a while..
then decided to catch a midnight movie...
eric wanted to watch men in white..
so we watched it..
before the movie, we had 2 hours to spare...
so we went to chat at mac, at the same time look at girls..
hahaha... beauty muz be accompanied by hunks right,

we went kbox.. then buy cake celebrate..

so after everything, i went home..

ahhh... why is so difficult to get everyone for an outing? dont like the feeling of planning something and not being appreciated...
poor response, worse still, NO response..if it is so easy.. then why don't you plan it yourself? hate being ignored.... hate those whose words are louder than action... hate unappreciative people...
it's not about whether you FEEL like going or not...
it's about appreciating the organiser's efforts and giving credit, or shld i say "face", to him/her..
even if you don't feel like going...
just remember it's not planned by you but you are invited to go...

today was an eventful day...
haha.. our pw grp had an interview with the Assitant Director of the Singapore Arts Museum...
so i was suppose to wake up super early to prepare myself..
i woke up late but only 15 mins late...
so i thought i hurry a little... i can still nake it in time..
but who knows when i am suppose to step out of the house..
i got stomach ache.. WTH!!
haha... so in the end... i was quite late...
sorry group...

yup.. so the interview went fine..
we asked 8 mins worht of questions..
but i was surprised by how the director managed to handle the qns..
because it seems like we are constantly bombardeding him with qns...
yet he managed to answer all of them with great fluency..
impressing.. haha...

so after the interview..
we went to tour the museum ourselves...
i found out that i wasnt really an arts person..
because i couldnt understand the drawing...
haha..then we went to the kids corner and started playing..

haha... ya.. so after we walked around... we went to makan...
after that we walked around again at plaza sing...

then we saw en rui use hack to play maple...lol la... so funny sia.. can lvl up damn fast...
haha.. then we watch on episode of beach then went home...

now so sian.. dunno why cannot study..

this is just a recall abt my PW meeting...
haha.. on this storming day...
my group decided to venture and explore beyond our comfort zone..
so we went to visit the museum and also to find 2nd hand air-cons...
we reached the museum...
it was a place that i had never been too..
the ancient building seem like an alien to me...
plucking up our courage..
we entered the house...
didn't get the interview we yearned for...
but instead we got some no.
which means more proposals to come..
haha... nvm.. we CAN do it...
then after that we went to find 2nd hand air-con..
we waited damn long for the bus...
and ended up in some suburban area..
we were like strayed kittens..
add torrential rain into the picture...
haha... so we walked n walked trying the find the stupid place..
we just managed to dry ourselves after the morning rain..
n now we are wet again!
but we are not stupid either..
we rolled up our pants and minimized the effect..
when we found the place, i thought that for once luck was on our side..

so it was pretty much a wasted trip..
so we made our way back to boon lay mrt..
n miraculously, the rain stopped while we are on the bus..

but at least we are finally back to civilisation..

yoyo..
long time never blog already...
was very very busy..
school work, pre-u sem and my own leisure time..
haha... so no time to actually sit down and type an entry...
ya.. for this whole week.. i reached home average at 7 pm..
so most of the time i was too tired that i slept and didnt care abt hwk..
i wanted to do but juz dont have that energy..
once i lied down, in less than 10 mins i will be asleep...
haha... but rest assured i will work harder in the holidays..

and finally, NPDP is over..

and i am no long going back to HQ..

at least for the time being...

i must say i didn't really enjoy the experience at first...

but i just grew to like it..

perhaps.. maybe.. i will be back for the parade next year...

through this parade, i met a lot of new people...

those are the people that i will not forget...

because i really admire them...

people who are so confident, so friendly and so helpful..

it's hard to find people like them..

and not forgetting the cadets...

anyway... this is a post regarding ytd..
yup.. ytd was the debate...
and i guess i was to nervous on stage...
my first time debating in front of a crowd...
so i know now that debating is much different from arguing..haha...
i might have won if you want me to argue..haha...
so it was a lesson learnt for me...
i am just not a debating person...
but nonetheless.. i tried my best... so no regrets...

so after school i went to HQ..
for npdp training...
hai..it was so sian lor..
because i had to stand in for someone else who was not there..
then i know nobody in contingent i was taking..
so no rapport with them..
then don't know why...
they were restless and very talkative...
maybe i was just too lenient with them ba...
becos it's my first time with them
so i don't want to just go there and shout at them..
ya..then i just they took advantage and climbed over me..
but it's ok.. i won't be seeing them this sat anyway.. haha...
but i realised that you really have to shout at them when they are wrong..
it's because if you don't..
they presume it is right.. then they will keep doin it..
and Sir Zaki said sth very right..
he said we are trainer and not their friends..
and it is right.. our purpose is to train them...
so i will be more merciless next time.. haha!

yup...so it's today is good friday..
and i am going out later..

haha... so very quickly... today is monday....
and i m back to school - studying...
haha... in short... one memorable thing that happened today is...
my first chem prac in PJC....
why is it so memorable?
haha... because i was not in PJ for JAE...
so i was pretty blur during practical...
i didn't know how to use the pipette filler....
i couldn't find the burette....
after finding it, i didn't know how to use the clip....
i didn't know how to use the balance...
and didn't know where to find the solutions...
worse of all, i didn't know how to do the calculations...
haha...as you can see... i literally know nothing....
so i was grateful that wayne was very patient and taught me alot of things along the way...
thanks!
yup..so in the end... i did complete my work...
although i screwed up the readings...
haha...

anyway.. there's this debating thing coming up...
frankly speaking... i am not prepared...
but seriously saying.. i wanna win...
haha...

so.. i will try my best to research...

1st week in PJ

1 weeks had already gone..
and i am settling fine in PJ...
life, as usual, becomes rather hectic...
but i like it...
probably because i slacked the first three mths...
so i am more energized than the PAE students...
i see people skipping lectures...
or just sleeping through it...
but for me, it seems like i am so awake...haha...
hope i understand everything....
basically, i am busy with school and npcc...
but this feeling is different...
and i like being busy now....
haha...

my class is fine... and i like the people there....
at least there are no gangsters or bad people....
they are interesting people... haha...
let's hope we get more bonded!

anyway... it's the longest day of the week for me...
imagine ending at 6 with P.E...
but at least it's only once a week...
if not, i would have collapsed...
haha...and tml ends at 1.30...
hooray..but there is house meeting and stuff...
and after that, there is training at HQ...
so there's nothing much to cheer about...
in the end, i should reach home at about 8...
i am busy...but happy...
that's the most important thing...

i hope i can stay happy for as long as possible...
if not, life will be chore to me... haha...
i look forward to friday, because there's unit training...
and i can see my cadets...haha... lol....
and i want them to improve...

np ball day

hihi...
today is a saturday and i have to wake up at 6am...
in the end, i was too tired a woke up half an hour late..
guess what i did?
i went for a bball competition organised by HuaYi NPCC...
when we reached there...
we saw many other teams...
but most of them were cadets but we are participating in the officer's catagory...
so we were walking around looking for officers...
there was not many...
and guess what.. we got 2nd...
out of 3 teams!
haha...the champion was of course the hosting school...
they dun look like CIs...haha..
but nvm...we only lost by a point to those basketballers look-alike CIs...
haha..and our boys team got 5th..
which was considered good out of 18 teams...
after the competition...we went back to school to play some more bball...
and saw the alumni ppl but didn't went to say hello...
ya..so we were playing and playing..
then we went to help miss foo do some paper work..
and we talked alot until it was dinner time..
so miss foo who is very nice, treated us to mac...
and sent us home via taxi...
thanks miss foo!
yup..so i went home and was so tired that i fell asleep again...

hihi...
i haven been updating for a long long time....
so i have to continue writing...
if not this blog will just rot and die...
so i shall elaborate on my activiteis so far...
from last thurs..i had orientation in PJ...
as usual..the first day was boring...
you know nobody and nobody knows you...
so everyone was just waiting for time to pass...
but as subsequent days followed...
i got to know better about my OG...
btw.. i am OG 1 ! haha...
1 of all numbers is quite strange...haha...
but the people inside are mostly enthu...
thats the good thing...
haha...so we spent our time happily on friday...
and saturday i had to leave sch early because of kranji NPCC...
so i missed PJ's campfire...
kind of dissappointed but in some point of time u will have to make sacrifices..
and i believed it is worthwhile this time..
because i went back for the NCO camp..
and at least i taught the cadets something...
it was tiring ok..
having to travel from pioneer to kranji and staying overnight on friday..
and wake up early to go to pioneer from kranji the next morning...
then going to kranji from pioneer on the saturday afternoon..
haha.. quite complicated right..
the NCO camp in kranji was quite tough...
evidences are:

they have to do drills until about 2 am in the morning..
then followed by PT... until about 3 am...
but i must say they had done well..
because they showed no sighs of fatigue...
even though they really felt like sleeping..
ya..so that's saturday..
and sunday.. which was break camp time..
i was so tired that i laid on the floor outside npcc room and fell aslp..
when i woke up it was about 3-4 pm..
then we debrief with the teachers..
which ended at abt 5-6 pm..
then everyone was hungry...
so the teachers order KFC...
thanks miss foo and miss low!
ya..so we ate inside the staff whr all the staffs had already evacuated...
left with 4 CIs and 2 teachers..
so we were eating and talking crap...
haha...and miss low said we were so different in front and behind of the cadets...
which i agreed...haha..
and when we were bored..
we started playing cards...
and it was the most enjoyable moment...haha...
because we were laughing so crazily that i could feel like i am developing 6 packs...
haha... but sadly don't have lah...
lol... then we played until 11.30pm...
then miss foo sent me and amirah home in a taxi..
so kind of her....
i reached home and dozed off on the sofa...
and it was monday without me realizing it..
haha...so that's all for my past few days...
hope to go more sch npcc camps man!
so can play cards..haha...

9 February 2007 - i took my GCE O'Level Results...
and i can happily say that i got L1R5=14 n L1B4=11...
i m satisfied with it but i know it can be much better...
on that day.. i saw many ppl tearing..
either the tears of joy or the tears of sadness...
but for me, i was quite dissapointed for like 5 mins?
then i m back to normal and asking other ppl about their results...
haha...ya..so i spent the playing so soccer...
then head off for work frm 6-10...
that's all about that day...
10 February 2007 - My Birthday!!!
and guess how i spent it?
at work!!! haha...how great is it...lol
i was practically at work the whole day..frm 12 noon to 11 at night...
haha..it was boring to be at work for half of the day...
but i must say i am happy that many wished me a happy birthday
altho it might not be that happy... haha...

erm...recently i have started working...
at bukit panjang plaza...
as promoter for yeo's drinks....

haha...and release of results will be this friday(offically)...
erm...isn't too excited about it but quite glad that it is coming..

haha...getting my results will also mean that my birthhday is coming..
and my birthday preety much depends on my bday...
if i score well then i might be celebrating all day long..
but if it is bad..then maybe i will be crying in my room the whole day...

just a leisure post today...haha...
i was watching the ASEAN Cup match btwn Thailand and Singapore...
and i was pretty amused by the amount of injury time..
as you can see from the pic..it shows 15 mins..
but in actual fact it was 19 mins...haha...
perhaps the longest that i will see in my entire life..haha..
actually what really happened was that the thais were unhappy abt a penalty decision...
so they decided to walk off the pitch and abandon the match...
but after some persuasion from the thai manager..
they got back onto the pitch...
and Singapore converted the penalty and won the match - 2-1....
that's not the point...
the thing i wanted to emphasize was the poor sportsmanship showed by the thais...
even though the decision might be abit dubious...
they should have just got on with the game...
these kind of penalty incidents always happens...
most of the time the players would argue against the decision..
but when they know that their efforts were in vain..they would get on with the game...
so i was wondering why the thais were so engulfed in anger...
they are afraid to lose?
or are they just plain sore losers?
haha..that's for you to find out...
anyway... hope Singapore can go on and lift the cup for the 2nd consecutive time...
haha...hopefully thrash the thais so they will have nothing to argue about...

national stadium match

hihi...since i have nothing to do...i decided to post some of the photos we took during last saturday's match btwn singapore and malaysia...

what i have to say is it was a great match..
great atmosphere... great people around...
haha...it is the first time that i see the national stadium so crowded other than the national day...
ya...so it's great everyone cheer together and boo the malaysians together...haha...
the funny thing was some malaysian were being escorted out by the police when they tried to create trouble when singapore scored the equalizer and singaporeans at the exits sneered them out of the stadium... when singapore won..you could literally feel the stadium shake.... which is scary because the stadium would be tore down after the finals... so we were scared that the process would actually be carried out in advance..haha...

erm..ya..so i enjoyed myself that day and i hope singapore win against thailand this weds...
the match which i will not be watching at the stadium because my friends have school tt day...
oh..so sad..haha...
but nvm...as long as singapore win then i am happy..haha...

and it hasn't been completed yet...

ya... and i have a job training tml..
it is 9.30 in the morning...

haha..so i have set an alarm clock..

erm.. recently..i just found out something...
my bus fare had increased!! haha..
because i am not going to sch at this time..my fare was changed to adult fare..

tt time i went to the central are..so i took lrt and changed to mrt..
it caused mr $1.90!!! wth..
haha..and still need to go back home..
total for a day will be : $3.80..
omg...haha..so i have decided to stay at home unless i was needed to go out..

ya..so i don't want to go poly..later i pay bus fare pay until i broke...haha...

erm...recently i was doing a lot of np stuff la..
go for sch training... and i scolded ppl ! lol...

i tink i scold ppl like a bit comical leh..

because i have to go to HQ..
for npdp(National Police Day Parade)...
it is a parade held every year solely for NPCC...
so i volunteered to help train the cadets there..
and at the mean time..clock hours..
because i am on probation..i have to serve 15hrs to HQ..
so after this event..i no longer need to go to HQ anymore..yeah!! haha...
HQ is so intimidating..haha..if can then don't go..haha...
ya..so most fridays will be for the trainings...
then other days i have got work..
haha..it's a 2-weeks temp job until eve of chinese new year...
shall not elaborate the job scope..
because i tink not neccessary...haha...
ya..so i will have money to "guo nian"-go through chi new yr..
and chinese new year got red packet ! then after that i will "fa cai"...haha..
"fa cai" is become rich..haha...
so i look forward to february...haha..

having problems falling asleep...

ya..today i went back to school for npcc training...
haha...my first time wearing my uniform with the cadet inspector rank..
so heavy sia..haha..lol... just kidding la..
but the satisfaction of people calling u "sir" is great...
haha...when you talk will got wind one...haha...
overall.. the training was fine...their drill were sad to say very awful la..
but probably because this is their first training after such a long holiday..
so understandable...i forgive them..haha..
but i hope they will improve...

erm...at school..
i saw quite a few of my ex-classmates...the girls..
then they got a lot of things to talk abt...haha...
whenever i walk past them i saw them talking...
lol...haha..then don't know why... i start to miss wearing the school uniform...
last time wear school uniform like very troublesome...
but now think of it actually it was quite fun....
also starting to miss my classmates...

it is the start of a new year..so changing a few things isn't that bad..

seeing my juniors planning the schedule..

that means i am $150 richer..

loooong holidays for me!

it has been a long long time since i last blogged..
during the time...alot of things had happened...
for example - i went for the cadet inspector course...
and now i am offically a cadet inspector...pls call me a sir! haha..lol...
suring the course..i met a bunch of very good friends...
and after the course we met up several times to rekindle our happy moments..haha...
very soon days passed and it was the new year..
i thought that spending the new year at home would be very boring..
so..i met up with friends to watch the fireworks at esplanade..
friends were - lixian, jon and ned...haha..i felt so like"light bulb"..
haha..but nvm..we enjoyed our night...we talked at mac till we almost dropped dead..
and in the end we had to walk home frm cck...
ya..walkin at midnight was fun as thr was practically no cars..
no peopleand everywhr was quiet...
haha...so fun..lol...
then everyone went for sch- first 3 mths..
and i.. because i didnt register.. began my slackin journey at home...
haha...how i missed sch..
ya..over the past few weeks...
had been kept busy with np stuff.
first was training then promotion test...
and now npdp parade 07...
i will continue to be busy with np stuff for at least a few more weeks becauseof npdp trainings..
sch parade and trainings as well as nco camp07...
haha... alot of work ro be done but at least it is better than wasting my time at home...
haha...so tts about all for my holidays..

haha... playing, going out, and even slacking have drained all my energy up...
december will be worse with more activities...
but its ok..becos i love life after the O's...

i dun like the maths paper today..
a bit tough and it made me unsure of myself...haha..
but SS was ok..even though it was not the topics that i would prefer..
but luckily i studied a bit education and was able to scrape through it...
i spotted merger&separation and Northern Ireland..
and indeed they came out but i didnt do..haha...
i dun like merger&separation becos i feel many others would also do it...
and i feared they might be better...haha...
then actually wanted to do N.Ireland..
but i dun understand the whatever movement thing..

so i did education...
overall SS was quite a morale booster...

o'levels had already started...
so quickly..half of my lit paper was done..
i could only say i did my best... but i am not sure if it was good enough...
given more time...i guessed i could have sone a greater job..
but it is over...so there is no point thinking back at what had already past..
i should look forward...

ha..i guess today's post will be a very long one..
firstly..let's talk about the phy practical..
haha.. gone.. flunked.. died...
whatever the description..it's just bad..
haha..but i think it's ok..becos everyone feels its difficult..
so i think it will still be an even playing field when it comes to p1 and p2..
just do your best and i think A's are within grasp...

let's go on...
haha..ya..i haven talk about graduation yet..
haha..4 years had past in a blink of an eye...
i came to kranji with a handful of friends..
but leaving kranji with friends that cannot even be counted with a dozen pair of hands...
haha...that how eventful my secondary sch life had been...
sec 1..young and innocent..haha..
and i got caught by mr lau for playing soccer at the void deck..
and received 2 strokes of the cane...
sec 2..growing and maturing..haha...
i understood the true meaning of friends..
also the best friendship bond is formed - the rhino gang..
i still rmb we were all wearing rhino for pe..haha..
sec 3 i got separated..
but in 3d.. i certainly made another wonderous group of friends..
we played soccer..basketball.. and everything...
everything was enjoyable... when u do it with friends...
haha..
sec4 where life was hectic..a rat race...
everyone was pumping up for o's levels..
but despit the seriousness of situation..
our kls still managed to enjoy out times in the classroom...
joking around and making everyone smile..haha..
throughout the four years..i realised alot..and understood alot...
i really treasure my friends from 1e, 2e, 3d, 4d, npcc, those who played soccer tgt n all others who played a part in my life in one way or another..
the list of names will be very long so i shall not mention any..
if u are my friend..u would noe that i treasure u as one too..
haha...all of u brighten up my life...
and i want to say a big THANK YOU to all of u..haha..

lastly...i want to share an experience..
haha...do you feel that sometimes lifes are difficult to live?
when you got back a good grade...u are elated..
and u wan to share your joy...
so u tell a friend about it...
he felt that u are trying to "haolian"- show off...
then u will try to be humble...
then he will say u are a hypocrite...
ahh...why is it so difficult to be yourselves??
y must u always accomodate with others..
i have no idea..
perhaps life is like this??
haha...its so random..nvm..
anyway..there are also blissful moments in life..
so...always be optimistic when u view things...
there might just be a perspective that u have not yet seen before...
always look on the bright side of life..haha..

for me i have 5 more days to o'levels..
some 4 some 9..
no matter wat date u start your exams..
everyone pls work hard..

today is the 1st of october..
and guess what..it's children's day..
haha...although i m not celebrating children's day..
i must say that i am still young in my heart..
haha...that's lame.. but being young is really nice..
recall back the times when you were young..
your mum brought u sweets..
when u cry and pester them..
they buy you the toys that u wanted..
when you scoed band 1 for all subjects..
they will buy you whatever u want..
but now...haha...everything also pay by urself..
not that my mum no longer buy things for you..
but it is that u know you are a big boy already..
and being young adults we shouldn't bother our parents as much anymore..
that one sad thing about growing older..
but one thing that wouldn't change is your mum love for you..
no matter how she yell at u..how she might spank u..
you are always her first priority..i am sure of that..
they might not express their love but certainly they care..
so all children out there.. return the care back to your parents..

i got back all my prelim results..
n L1R5=16..
not excellent but also not bad...
haha..but i wanna say i really have got luck with decimal point also..
my e.maths was 74.5 after moderation n it was rounded up..so A1..
and a.maths(which i tink i will fail).. got 49.4..which became 50..
n i passed...haha..
but too bad my chem was a 73..
hop mr lim can push up to an A1..
but if he doesn't..then its ok oso..
i m pretty fine with my results..
but i know i will only get better..haha..
n we brought the 5-yr series book..
the book is very nice..so i am so reluctant to use it..
but have to... haha...
and i promised to finish it one week before the o'levels..
or at least 3/4 of it..haha..
don't know why..i just don't like weekends..haha..
because i always cannot do work on weekends...
i will slack n rot and time juz breeze past me...
so i prefer weekdays...

not bad...but can be better..
erm..got A2 for e.maths which was disappointing..
and B4 for physics...thich was a relieve actually..
becos i thought i flunked the paper..
and oso B4 for my lit paper one..
was quite sad for the lit paper...
cos i tink it is the first time i am studying seriouly for the sub.
n gettin a 4 is not gd at all..
i dunno y i always cannot understand neither the poem nor prose..
and becos of that..
my answer are all misreading n wrong inference...
which cos the B4 grade..
i got 17 for TET n 14 for unseen...
if i would have scored 17 for unseen...
i would have jumped a grade..
hai..but nonetheless...its my fault...

i really hope my chem can get A..cos i tink i really studied..

because it is teacher's day..

haha..i will never forget this..
and again..Mrs Kee reminded me to take breakfast before going to school which i nv did..
haha...she scolded me for that in primary school...

we meet in school.. n almost everyone came..
like they said "the core of the class"is here..
n indeed it was...
and i heard from some of them that some of our friends had turn into some gang leader..
which was quite laughable..

and it caused my $10 to fly away..

1) after PSLE..i went to Kranji Sec..
which have like only 3 ex-NHPS out of a thousand ppl..
the % is 4/1000 X 100= 0.4%..
haha..but at least better than 0% la..
2)after Sec 2 streaming..i went to 3D..
which is a GREAT class now but..
because i "hao bu rong yi"(very difficult) then make a grp of good friends..
then now have to separate..
got some in 4B in 4C n 4D..
but none in 4D..n the only other guy frm 2E was kannan..
so is 2/45 X 100 = 4%..
3) chinese class band..
i thought our chi was abt the same
so maybe can meet up in chi band..
but in the end..only juncong was in band 2 with me..
moreover..he switched to band 1 in sec 4..
again i was alone in the chi band...
sad la..haha...
still got many la..like OBS grp..NPCC camp grp..
all no friends accompany one..haha...

BUT....
tinkin on the positive side..
it was actually good..
although thr was only 3ex-NHPS..
2 of them was in the same class as me now..
although i was in a diff class as my other friends..
it meant that i knew more friends.. a more grps of friends..
can socialise...haha..
although i was always the solo one..
i knew how to be independent...
dun always depend on others...

ytd was the release of o'levels mother tongue results..
basically..there are 3 groups of people..
1st grp = those who are super-happy about the grades that they have gotten..
2nd grp = those who are satisfied with the results with no added emotion..
3rd grp = those who will damn sad about their results.. that tears started threading their faces..
for me. i belong to the 2nd grp..
so i got an A2(merit for paper3)
i wasnt sad but but instead i was disappointed
i knew i could have done better.
i was aiming for an A1 but A2 was ok
if i would have done the orals a bit better then i would have got a A1(distinction)
i knew my orals screwed me up..

but its over..
no point crying over spilled milk..
o'lvls is like this..
sometimes u just need a sprinkle of luck to advance a grade..
n this time it juz didnt happen for me..
but i m not sad..
becos i believed if something unlucky happens to u..
some even more lucky will happen to u..
so i guess i will not re-take the exams..
cos i dun believe i will do any better..
its all in the orals..
i did my best for the papers but only the orals..
orals is the key for me n i didnt do well enough in it..
so no point doin the papers again when i noe that i had did my best already..
so.. no re-takes for me..

thats ATC.. i understood determination..
been thru the scoldings n harsh punishments from sirs that leaves u dreading..
thats the NCO camp.. i understood perserverance..
been thru the stress n mental turmoil..
thats the planning of camps n activities.. i understood cooperation..
been thru the sadness n the feeling of giving up..
thats the posting of hierachy n the selection for parade commander.. i understood that there's always another path to take
been thru the joy n happiness..
thats the compliments and recognitions when u passed out.. i understood what u do i worth doing if u do it to ur best..
as u see..its a journey, isnt it?
haha...4 yrs of walking this journey..
finally it came to an end..
should i be happy or sad? perhaps both..

i tink of becoming a sir myself..
but i tink again..

today is the PASSING OUT PARADE 2006..
it was suppose to be in the open..
but i rained..
so it was shifted to the hall..
worse still.. i now have no commands to shout..
sadded..haha..but nvm...
n u know what?
i cried.. haha.. i really cried...
at first i still joked that i will never cry de..
but in the end i still cried..
haha.. i cried because when i think that this is gonna be my last parade
all the memories i have..
it just overwhelmed me..
n tears treaded down my cheeks..
in the past..i always grumble..
grumble that i am given such a lousy post..
grumble that what i do are not recognised..
but now..i shall grumble no more...
but could only treasure what i have gotten..
the fondable memories..

atc camp.
sec1 orientation.
these are just a few of what i have gone through..
i always thought they were strenous..
but now i see it as a thing that i would not mind doing it again.
not once not twice but alot of times again n i wouldn't mind.
think again..i will no longer have these experience
when i step into JC..
i would then be muggin hard..
and wouldn't even think of tough camps..
thats why i really treasure the moments so dearly.
so deeply.
that i will make every human being cry.
this is probably the first time i ever cied in a NP uniform..
and sadly..it would probably be my last time too..=(
so people asked me to come back and be cadet inspector
i m comsiderin..but the feelings will never be the same again..
a cadet and a sir..
how to be same?
a cadet jokes with his squad mates...and get scolded tgt by sir
a sir scolds cadets and always seems so alone..
a cadet cry their hearts out during POP
a sir holds back his tears.. because he is the sir.
it all gonna be different..
so i might not come back to be a CI
considering..only time will tell..

but i really appreciate the sec2s
although i am not the NCO
they treated me as one..
allowing me to indulge in their touching powerpoint slides.
i was quite shocked when i saw my face..
but nonetheless glad that they remembered me
haha..and they included me in their photo taking too..
although i am not one of them...again..
haha...so i really appreciate the sec2s..
n everyone that have showered love and care onto me..
either with actions or not..
i can feel it..
thank you very much..

forever rememberin all of u guys..
and all the memories that drives me till today.
nothing willl be forgotten..
except for maybe some lapse of memory here and there..haha..
but most parts will be there..
ya n thanks jiali for offering me tissue..haha

just have a sudden urge to tell everyone that..
tml is npcc passing out parade..
meaning we the sec 4s will finally be stepping down..
sort of like "retiring"
haha..but i hope that without us..Kranji NPCC will continue to prosper..
aim for gold unit k??
i pass down what i knew to the current NCOs le..
hope they will make use of what they have learnt..
from me or not..
maybe those who were in the same grp with me in camp..
or have worked with me before..
u should know how i am..
haha..i hope i can be forever remembered by u guys from NP..
as a speaker n a "worker"..haha..
lastly.. i want to say..
memories will forever be remembered..
